Conference “Transparency for Youth 2025: Transparency, Integrity, and Accountability for Active Youth Participation”

The conference will bring together youth workers and young people from diverse backgrounds to explore themes of transparency, integrity and accountability, across various sessions, gaining knowledge and tools to empower active civic engagement.

Description

The conference will be structured into interactive sessions, workshops and networking activities where participants will deepen their understanding of transparency and accountability issues and be provided with the platform to voice their concerns, share their perceptions and contribute to actionable solutions.

The theme of the conference aligns with the EU’s strategy to strengthen democratic values and to foster a new generation of leaders; leaders who can be drivers of change.

Objectives:

  • Raise awareness about the importance of educating youth on the actual implications of transparency, integrity, and accountability
  • Promote inclusion and diversity in the scope of active citizenship and democratic participation
  • Strengthen collaboration between participants and create actionable strategies beyond the conference
  • Encourage dialogue on policy reforms that promote integrity and transparency in governance

Who is the Conference for?

National delegations, 2-3 participants per country:

  • Representatives of youth sector (youth workers, youth managers, Youth NGO’s Representatives)
  • Representatives of National Agencies
  • Representatives of local authorities (including municipalities and local youth councils)

who are actively involved in youth work and/or youth policymaking.

Selection Criteria:

  • Very Good Knowledge of English
  • Strong motivation to participate in the Conference
  • Active engagement in the sphere of youth work, civic education, or youth policy

Priority will be given to applicants who meet the above criteria and work with youth with fewer opportunities and in rural or periphery regions. 

Accommodation and food

Unless specified otherwise, the hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
