Scholarships awarded for the College of Europe

With the aim of offering excellent young students the opportunity to pursue outstanding postgraduate European education and, in the long term, increasing the proportion of Austrians working in European institutions, the Federal Chancellery funds scholarships for the renowned  College of Europe (Collège d’Europe) in Bruges and Natolin and, since 2024, also at the new campus in Tirana. The OeAD is responsible for the entire application and selection process in coordination with the College and the Austrian Federal Chancellery.

On 26 June 2025 the Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Family Affairs Claudia Plakolm presented five students with scholarships to study at the College of Europe, which they will begin in September. As in the previous year, two scholarships were again awarded for the new campus in Tirana, including a sur place scholarship for a student from Kosovo.
