Verschiedene thematische Initiativen begleiten die Umsetzung des Erasmus+ Programms in Österreich. Dazu gehören der Bologna-Prozess, das Erasmus+ VET Team Austria, transnationale Kooperationsaktivitäten (TCA), das Europäische Sprachensiegel sowie aktuell ein Afrika-Schwerpunkt im Hochschulbereich.
