Mental Health in Youth Work: The Inspirational Event
Join us for a large event full of ideas, tools, and practices that promote mental health and wellbeing in youth work.
Come as a team of one youth worker and 1–2 young people (aged 18–24)!
What to Expect
- Engaging workshops for both young people and youth workers
- Peer-led sessions by Co-Creation Crews of young people from Czechia, Finland, France, Lithuania, and Norway
- Trainings by professional facilitators
- Space for your contributions — propose your own session in the application!
- Getting inspired about mental health
A Space for Sharing, Learning and Connecting
This event gives young people a voice in how mental health is addressed in youth work. Expect peer-to-peer learning, lively discussions, and the chance to explore the topic together. Learn how to offer peer support or become inspired to promote mental health in your community!
Youth workers will have the chance to exchange professionally and gain practical skills for supporting young people's wellbeing. You'll understand better young people’s needs and reflect on your own role in promoting mental health.
No prior knowledge of mental health is required. Whether you’re completely new to the topic or already have experience, there’s something here for you. Learn from others and take home ideas that resonate with you.
Bring Your Own Inspiration
Would you like to run a session or workshop at the event? Share methods, attitudes, and activities that support mental health — whether they’re from your professional work or your organisation's practice.
You can also propose morning wellbeing activities!
Who Can Apply?
Form a team of 1 youth worker + 1–2 young people (aged 18–24).
Youth workers should have a meaningful role in their organisation and already know the young people from existing activities.
Young people should already be involved in the organisation activities.
Youth workers apply via MySALTO and include the young people’s details in the same application.
You'll meet 140 participants from across Europe. Come as you are — we welcome and recognise you, regardless of your personal needs or background.
Support for preparation
We invite all selected youth workers to a short onboarding meeting online roughly two weeks before the activity.
If you are selected to run a session, we will contact you separately. You will have a short online meeting to get support on running your session.
