The Austrian National Agency, together with the National Agencies of the United Kingdom, Belgium (Flanders) and Croatia, is organising an international contact seminar for schools and colleges working in initial vocational education and training (iVET).

The seminar aims to reconnect and strengthen relationships with UK VET institutions, while bringing together organisations from the participating countries to establish new partnerships and develop future mobility projects in Erasmus+ VET.

A particular focus will be on group mobility for iVET learners and staff mobility as practical and accessible ways to initiate or renew international cooperation.

The seminar will bring together around 70 VET institutions from a range of sectors, with a particular focus on:

  • Engineering, technology and construction
  • Hospitality and tourism
  • Business and commerce

Participants will have the opportunity to meet potential project partners, exchange ideas and experiences, learn about mobility opportunities in Erasmus+ VET, explore examples of successful projects, and take part in dedicated partnership-building activities. The programme will also include visits to Austrian VET schools and plenty of opportunities for informal networking.

Practical Information

The seminar will start on 17 January with the arrival of participants and an informal evening programme, offering a first opportunity to meet and connect with fellow participants. This will be followed by two full seminar days, with departure on the following day.

The seminar will take place at The Hoxton in Vienna, where participants will also be accommodated.

The seminar is organised within the framework of Erasmus+ Training and Cooperation Activities (TCA). All on-site costs, including three nights’ accommodation, meals and activities included in the programme, will be covered directly by the organisers. Participants will arrange their own travel to and from Vienna, with travel costs reimbursed after the seminar.
