The training is for youth workers, project coordinators, and other practitioners interested in developing inclusive digital youth work projects.

Description

Context

The Training is part of the SNAC Digital Youth Work framework and builds on previous outcomes and insights. It will involve participants in an online onboarding meeting in the afternoon of October 15th, and then in activities taking place in Iceland from Nov. 2nd (arrival day) to Nov 6th (departure date).

 

Objectives: 

  • Learn to connect digital youth work practices with relevant policy frameworks
  • Explore inclusive approaches in digital youth work
  • Support the development of project ideas and understanding of funding opportunities of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps
  • Support networking and partnership building around shared topics and interests.


 

Please note that priority will be given to applicants that are from the countries participating in the Digitial Youth Work SNAC (Strategic National Agency Cooperation) and we are looking for participants who are:

  • Interested in local or international developing digital youth work activities
  • Dealing with the needs of young people related to their digital life
  • Ready to allocate up to 8 hours of preparation time
  • Residents from one of the DYW SNAC countries: Iceland, Finland, The Netherlands, Belgium Flanders, Latvia, Portugal
  • Youth workers/ Project managers / Youth work managers/ Heads of youth (work) organisations
  • Above 18 years old
  • Able to communicate in English

  • What are relevant European policies and frameworks (linked to digital youth work)
  • Inclusion approaches
  • Project ideas development
  • Optional visit to a local youth work organisation
  • Networking
  • Funding opportunities
  • Cooperation and follow-up planning
     

Methodology:

The training is based on experiential learning, where people will learn by gaining and sharing experience, reflecting on their practices and developing new insights together. 

An onboarding meeting happening on Oct. 15th will kickstart the process asking participants to fulfil some preparation tasks, looking forward to meeting in Iceland from Nov. 2nd to Nov 6th.

There will be a hands-on process to move from young people's needs to the development of youth project ideas. 

The staff of SALTO Digital can provide follow-up support for developing your ideas further on.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
