EUmbrace Journey 2026
Join us for EUmbrace Journey: Empowering Youth with Fewer Opportunities Through Discover EU Inclusion Action Projects, a specialised training course dedicated to Erasmus+ KA1 155, Discover EU Inclusion Action.
Description
DiscoverEU seeks to enhance its inclusion dimension by providing extra support to participants with fewer opportunities to explore Europe.
DiscoverEU offers young people who are 18 years’ old a chance to have a short-term individual or group experience travelling across Europe by rail.
EUmbrace Journey training is scheduled to take place in Croatia from April 14th to 17th, 2026.
Main goal:
Our primary aim is to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively plan, implement, and evaluate Discover EU Inclusion Action projects, ensuring the active involvement of youth with fewer opportunities.
Specific objectives:
- Introducing participants to the Discover EU Inclusion Action program (its objectives, connection to the Erasmus+ priorities, quality criteria, and budget).
- Providing participating organisations with the tools to successfully plan, prepare, implement, and evaluate Discover EU projects with an active role of young people with fewer opportunities.
- Broadening understanding of young people with fewer opportunities, and obstacles they are facing in relation to opportunities/possibilities offered through Discover EU Inclusion Action, and to the European Strategy for Inclusion and Diversity
- Identifying and documenting non-formal and informal learning outcomes.
- Encouraging participants to reflect on European topics and values.
Rationale:
We recognize the diverse challenges faced by young people with fewer opportunities. While some organisations understand those facing physical disabilities or other unique circumstances, it's crucial to acknowledge that disadvantaged youth can result from various factors including health, education, economic, social, geographical, cultural, and identity reasons. Whether it's due to geographical isolation or financial constraints, these challenges hinder their access to opportunities.
If you're eager to explore this topic further and tap into the opportunities offered by the Discover EU program, we invite organisations directly working with 18 years of age young people with fewer opportunities to apply for the EUmbrace Journey training, scheduled to take place in Croatia from April 14th to 17th, 2026.
Don't miss this opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people with fewer opportunities. Join us on the EUmbrace Journey and let's work together towards a more inclusive future. Apply now!
