Me, myself and I - the trainer I have been, I am and I want to be
This learning experience, rather than a training course, is for trainers, educators and facilitators who are interested in reflecting on their own practice as a way to improve it.
Description
This learning experience is for trainers, educators, and facilitators who are interested in reflecting on their own practice as a way to improve it. This learning experience will not take the traditional approach of providing inputs, theories and methodologies to improve the participant's competence. The development of each individual's competence will come from their own reflection on their own practice and will be supported through peer reflection.
The Aim of the activity is to increase the competence of those facilitating workshops and training courses in the youth sector.
The objectives are:
- Explore the concept of learning to learn.
- Examine approaches and methodologies used in the non-formal education approach.
- Assess own practice through self and peer reflection.
Your learning space creators for this experience will be: Nik Paddison (https://www.salto-youth.net/tools/toy/nik-paddison.95/), Paulina Drzał and Łukasz Teofilak.
This activity is for you if you are involved in youth activities as a trainer, educator, facilitator, or coach, open to broaden your horizons, open to feedback and willing to grow and develop in your role to support the young people better but also increase your satisfaction from what you do and prevent the burnout.
If you are looking for ready solutions or expecting tools and methods to improve your work, this is not the training course you are looking for.
Accommodation: You will be accommodated in double rooms with bathrooms in the Fero Lux hotel in Korbielów, Poland
The hotel is located in a village in the administrative district of Gmina Jeleśnia, within Żywiec County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland, near the border with Slovakia.
