Description
Leadership, Strategy & Organizational Culture
Guest speaker: Cristina Rigman
Is having a strategy enough to ensure a nonprofit’s success?
If you’ve ever questioned whether your organization really needs a strategy or whether your current one is actually working, join us for the first SoliDARE meet-up of 2026. Together, we’ll explore a critical factor in organizational success that goes beyond strategy itself.
When: Thursday, April 23rd 2026, 14:30 CET
Strategy is often designed to drive change. But how that change is embraced within an organization isn’t simply a matter of skills or intentions. It is shaped by the organizational culture. Many nonprofits invest significant time and resources into strategic planning and end up with thoughtful, well-crafted strategies. And yet…the impact they hoped for doesn’t materialize. Not because the strategy is flawed, but because the organization’s culture doesn’t support the behaviors needed to make it work.
In this session, we’ll take a closer look at:
Why having a strategy doesn’t automatically lead to results
How organizational culture shapes (and is shaped by) strategy
Common patterns of change adoption in nonprofits and how to recognize what’s happening in your own organization
If your organization has invested in a strategy that isn’t delivering as expected, this conversation is for you. Join us to explore how culture can either enable or undermine your strategy and what leadership can do to align the two.
