Sparking Change: Enhancing Community Impact in European Solidarity Corps Activities

Are you involved in volunteering and solidarity projects? Or are you interested in community impact? If you want to dive deeper into community impact join our seminar to discover how to make a tangible difference through your activities.

Description

Gain insights into the communities you serve and the impact you aim to achieve. Learn about effective tools and methods on how to measure and enhance your project's community impact. Widen your knowledge about how to set up an action plan and take concrete first steps to elevate your activities effectiveness through trying out tools and being inspired by peers.

Objectives

Throughout three full working days, we are planning to:

  • Set up a common ground for community and impact in the context of ESC activities
  • Discover and sharing tools for creating, implementing and measuring change in your own communities
  • Enhance visibility of community impact in ESC projects
  • Encourage the creation of stakeholder networks to engage them in community impact 
  • Explore how other organisations generate impact in their communities with a focus on the Italian context
  • Strengthen networking among organisations interested in impact-oriented partners

Participants' profile

  • Active in the daily implementation of volunteering and/or solidarity projects from European Solidarity Corps Programme
  • Youth worker who supports young people in participating in European Solidarity Corps activities
  • Volunteering ESC Project coordinator/manager motivated to spark change in their community through their work
  • Mentor, tutor, or coach of European volunteers and/ or informal groups of young people
  • People interested in community working and community impact

All participants should be older than 18 years and be able to communicate in English.

We will happily discuss with you your support and/or accessibility needs and meet them to the best of our abilities.

Methods and methodology

This activity uses non-formal learning methods. The Theory of Change methodology will be introduced as ways to ideate activities to improve community impact in ESC projects.

Accommodation and food

The hosting NA of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the European Solidarity Corps. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or relevant SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or relevant SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
