In an increasingly complex economic landscape, financial literacy has become a key competence for young people's autonomy. This seminar aims to equip youth workers with the necessary knowledge to improve financial literacy among the youth they work with.

In an increasingly complex economic landscape, financial literacy has become a key competence for young people's autonomy and well-being. This seminar aims to equip youth workers & educators with the necessary knowledge, tools and methodologies to improve financial literacy among the youth they work with.

What is this activity?

This activity is part of a Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) organized by the Turkish National Agency for Erasmus+ & ESC. TCA is a tool for National Agencies to support the Erasmus+ Program and enhance its impact.

Objectives:

  • To define the key components of financial literacy relevant to young people today.
  • To share non-formal education methods and tools for teaching financial management.
  • To discuss the challenges young people face regarding financial independence and debt.
  • To create new local and international projects focused on economic empowerment of youth.

Target Group:

This seminar is designed for:

  • Youth workers, youth leaders and trainers.
  • Educators working directly with young people
  • Project managers interested in developing financial literacy initiatives.

Methodology:

The seminar will be based on the principles of non-formal education. The program includes a mix of plenary sessions, workshops, simulation games, sharing of best practices and field visits. Active participation and learner-centered approaches are central to the flow of the activity.

 

Youth@Work Partnership:

The event is organised under the Youth@Work Strategic Partnership on youth employability and entrepreneurship of Erasmus+ National Agencies and SALTO Resource Centres. The seminar is part of the Youth@Work Partnership, alongside other projects tackling youth employability and entrepreneurship, organised by the twelve member Erasmus+ National Agencies and SALTO Resource Centres. Travel reimbursement

FOR ERASMUS+ PROGRAM COUNTRIES

The NA of your country of residence will reimburse your travel costs.  Before applying, please contact the NA in your country of residence to confirm if they are willing to cover your travel expenses for this activity.

FOR PARTNER COUNTRIES

Turkish National Agency will reimburse travel expenses of participants from partner countries. Details will be sent to those who are selected.
