"Erasmus is entering a new programme generation and we are starting immediately with the preparations for the higher education institutions", emphasised the OeAD’s managing director Jakob Calice at yesterday's big OeAD information forum on higher education mobility.

On February 24th the OeAD informed representatives of Austrian higher education institutions at the University of Vienna about the possibilities offered by the Erasmus+ programme as of 2021 and application for the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027. The Charter is the entry ticket to the successor programme to Erasmus+ as of 2021. All higher education institutions wishing to participate are invited to apply for a Charter!

The programme will bring a lot of continuity and stability to higher education but also some new features – including increased internationalisation and short-term mobility. At the same time a number of digital developments will support the procedures.
