The Corona crisis poses enormous challenges for higher education institutions when it comes to international mobility programmes. What does Covid-19 mean for incoming and outgoing students and for programmes such as Erasmus+ and other mobility programmes in the coming academic year?

In order to get an overview of what is on offer in the winter semester 2020/21 and to assess how Erasmus+ and other mobility programmes can be used as of the autumn we asked the heads of the international offices of the Austrian higher education institutions by means of an online questionnaire with open and closed questions.

The survey took place between June 26th and July 10th, 2020, each institution could provide one answer. The survey results include feedback from 16 public universities, 19 universities of applied sciences, 11 university colleges of teacher education and six private universities.
