Seven Austrian universities achieved top scores in the “U-Multirank”.

The U-Multirank university ranking published its results for the year 2021.

A total of seven universities were able to achieve ten or more "A" in individual indicators. These are the Graz University of Technology, the JKU-Linz, the MCI, the Vienna University of Economics and Business the CEU private university and the universities of Klagenfurt and Salzburg. The local universities scored the highest in the dimensions of "international orientation", "research" and "regional engagement". Compared to the previous year's ranking, all seven universities were even able to improve again.

A total of almost 2,000 universities from 96 countries were examined for the 2021 ranking. A total of 26 universities from Austria took part in 2021, including 10 universities of applied sciences and two private universities.
