Erasmus+ Cooperation Seminar & Eurasia-Pacific Uninet Plenary 2026
The Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU) and the OeAD cordially invite to participate in the Erasmus+ Cooperation Seminar and Eurasia-Pacific Uninet General Assembly, hosted by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan, from 7 - 9 October 2026.
The event will be attended by universities from Central Asian countries, as well as from China, India, Mongolia and other countries and aims to strengthen academic collaboration and institutional partnerships between Austria and the Central, East and South Asia regions and to foster dialogue, networking and cooperation in higher education and research, with a particular focus on Erasmus+ opportunities and capacity-building initiatives.

Content and objectives
The seminar will provide a platform for networking, strategic discussions, knowledge exchange and the exploration of future partnerships and collaboration opportunities in higher education and research.
The programme will focus on Erasmus+ International Mobility and Capacity Building in Higher Education, with an emphasis on internationalisation strategies and academic cooperation between Austria and Central, East and South Asia. It will also promote the exchange of best practices, the development of new partnerships and joint projects, as well as mobility and research collaboration. In addition, it will address current challenges and opportunities in international higher education.
Target group
The event is aimed at senior staff of higher education institutions who wish to meet potential partners, exchange ideas and explore future collaboration opportunities within Erasmus+ and beyond. This includes staff from international offices, vice-chancellors and rectors, programme directors and academic staff. Please note that participants in this event will have to be authorised to initiate partnerships.
Participation is additionally open to all EPU partner institutions, which are encouraged to send at least one representative.
Participation information
Austrian participants who do not represent an EPU partner institution will be charged a participation fee of EUR 150 to contribute to the event's organisational costs. This fee includes participation in the seminar, all meals, and the evening events. All other costs must be covered by the participants or their institutions. Organisational Support (OS) funds from existing Erasmus+ mobility projects may be used to cover these costs. The fee will be invoiced by the OeAD.
