Safeguarding in ESC organisations in practice

During this activity, you will:

• Explore your role, responsibilities, boundaries and limitations in safeguarding situations.
• Work on real-life case studies and practice-based exercises to gain practical experience.
• Exchange ideas, challenges and good practices with colleagues from ESC organisations.
• Learn how to develop a safeguarding policy from your current starting point, or strengthen and refine an existing one.
• Develop concrete safeguarding actions and implementation plans that you can immediately apply in your organisation.

Who is this activity for?

We are looking for professionals and practitioners actively involved in European Solidarity Corps volunteering projects, including:

• Representatives of organisations with a Quality Label
• Supervisors, coordinators, mentors and tutors

Participants should be willing to start developing, or further strengthen, their organisation's safeguarding policies and practices.

Learning objectives

By the end of the activity, participants will be able to:

• Understand how safeguarding guidelines can be developed, adapted and implemented in European Solidarity Corps volunteering activities and within their organisations.
• Co-create safeguarding materials tailored to their organisational context.
• Learn from peers by sharing experiences, challenges and resources.
• Design clear and practical safeguarding development plans that can be implemented after the activity.
