Vienna has classic continental weather, characterized by distinct seasons. In spring temperatures are pleasant but can be a little chilly due to the wind. Average daytime temperatures range from 15°C to 22°C. While the sun often shines, occasional rain showers are common, so bringing an umbrella or light rain jacket is recommended. Evenings can be cooler, so a light sweater or jacket is useful.
Vienna finds itself in the unique situation of covering almost all its drinking water demand from mountain springs. Vienna’s drinking water originates in the Lower-Austrian-Styrian Alps and is very clean and tasty. So, bring your bottle and enjoy!
